to: 26/11/2010 1:00 pm where: Bergamo (Italy) This year the GeoCAP Annual Conference has been organized by the GeoCAP Action of the MARS Unit of the Joint Research Centre. The conference, entitled “Geomatics in support of the CAP”, took place from 24 (14:00) to 26 November 2010 (13:00) in Bergamo (Lombardy, Italy). The MAIN purpose of this type of conference is to offer an opportunity for MS Administrations, EU officials, Image Providers and contractors to meet and discuss particular problems or innovations. During the conference we covered topics like: controls with Remote Sensing (CwRS), Land Parcel Identification Systems (LPIS) management and quality assessment, GPS technologies in support of CAP controls, Eligibility for direct supports, Cross compliance … and the future of the CAP. It was the main “rendez-vous” to review the 2010 achievements, the problems and solutions found by Member States, as well as the technical progress and plans for the 2011 campaign.
