Future of Farm Advisory Services, Delivering Innovative Systems

The aim of this workshop was to start discussing the Future of Farm Advisory Services in connection with new European Innovation Partnership (EIP) ‘Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability’ launched by the European Commission and in the framework of the CAP2020.

The event particularly focuses on:

- Current Farm Advisory/ Extension Services, including an update on the future CAP, examples of the evolution of advisory services, and lessons learnt from case studies of knowledge transfer and innovation;

- Future Farm Advisory/ Extension Requirements with a focus on Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS);

- Opportunities provided by the Operational Groups and the European Innovation Partnership ‘Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability’;

- the link between the Farm Advisory System (FAS) and the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) for ‘Agriculture Productivity and Sustainability’.

A field visit was organised in the morning of Friday 14th June to show relevant advisory and applied research activities.
