Planting of the summer cereal crops in the northern main producing provinces will start in November. African migratory red locust (AML) poses a potential threat to agricultural sector in the country. During September, Zambezi region lost 500 ha of grazing land and in October a swarm of AML has invaded Kavango East (Reliefweb , New Era). With the start of the summer season over the next months, preventive measures must be taken in order to control the pest.
